Description
Liquid Brun is a warm woody Eau de Parfum from French Avenue, launched in 2024 as part of the house’s Sweet Pleasure collection. It is built on spice and vanilla. Cinnamon and cardamom lead the opening, with bergamot and orange blossom lifting them so the first spray reads warm rather than heavy.
The heart is bourbon vanilla paired with elemi, a resin with a citrusy, slightly peppery edge that keeps the vanilla from turning sugary. Underneath, praline adds a toasted, nutty sweetness, guaiac wood brings a dry smokiness, and ambroxan and musk carry the scent outwards from the skin.

Liquid Brun is widely compared to Parfums de Marly Althaïr. The two share the same core structure: cinnamon, cardamom and orange blossom up top, bourbon vanilla and elemi at the heart, and praline, ambroxan and guaiac wood in the base. Every note on Liquid Brun’s published pyramid also appears in Althaïr’s, which also adds tonka and candied almond to its base. Althaïr is an Eau de Parfum, the same concentration as Liquid Brun.
