Description
Royal Taboo is an oriental woody from the Aromatix x French Avenue line, launched in 2024 for women and men. Cardamom and cinnamon lead the way, warmed from the start by amber and benzoin so the spice feels rounded rather than sharp.
Tobacco and cashmere wood form the heart, with heliotrope lending a soft almond and powder quality and a thread of jasmine. The drydown is vanilla, tonka, patchouli and dry woods: smooth, warm and only gently sweet.
Inspired By
Wearers consistently compare Royal Taboo to Creed Centaurus. Rayhaan Crimson and Parfums de Marly Herod also come up less often. French Avenue does not name the inspiration itself.
The comparison refers to scent profile only. Royal Taboo is French Avenue’s own composition in its own bottle and packaging. Scent Limited is not affiliated with or endorsed by Creed, and all brand names belong to their respective owners.
